Merge PDF
Combine PDF files into one document in seconds. Put files and pages in order, keep only the pages you need and download. Nothing is uploaded.
How to merge PDF files
- Click Choose PDF files or drag your PDFs onto the box. You can add more files at any time, and JPG or PNG images become pages too.
- Put the files in order by dragging the cards or using the arrow buttons. On a phone, press and hold a card for a moment, then drag it.
- To use only part of a file, type the pages in its Pages box, for example
1-3, 5. Switch to Pages view to move, rotate or remove single pages. - Press Merge PDF. The merged file downloads at once and you can open a preview or download it again.
Merge PDFs without uploading them
Sending one tidy PDF is much easier than attaching five separate files. Job applications ask for a CV, a cover letter and certificates in a single document; schools want homework pages together; accountants want every invoice of the month in one file. This tool combines any number of PDFs into one document in the order you choose.
Unlike most online PDF tools, uTooler does not upload your files anywhere. The merge runs entirely in your browser on your own device, so contracts, bank statements, medical reports and ID scans stay private. There is no sign-up, no watermark, no daily limit and no file size cap other than your device’s memory.
Nothing is re-compressed
The pages are copied into the new document exactly as they are. Text stays selectable and searchable, links keep working, fonts and vector graphics stay sharp, and scanned images keep their original quality. Shared resources such as fonts are stored once, so the merged PDF is usually a little smaller than the files added together.
Choose exactly which pages to keep
Each file has a Pages box. Leave it empty to use every page, or type a list such as 1-3, 7 to take only those pages. Ranges can run backwards (10-1 reverses a document), 5- means from page 5 to the end, and a page can be repeated. For full control, switch to Pages view: every page appears as its own thumbnail, coloured by the file it came from, and you can drag pages between documents, rotate a sideways scan or delete a blank page. Undo (or Ctrl+Z) steps back if you change your mind.
Page size, bookmarks and double-sided printing
Original leaves every page at its own size, which is what you want in most cases. If you are merging a mix of A4 and Letter pages, or a scan with odd dimensions, choose Fit to A4 or Fit to US Letter and each page is scaled to the same paper size without cropping. With Add a bookmark for each file, the merged PDF gets a table of contents in the reader’s sidebar so you can jump to the start of each original document. When you print on both sides of the paper, choose For double-sided printing: a blank page is added after any file with an odd number of pages, so every document starts on a fresh sheet.
Password-protected PDFs
A PDF that is locked with a password cannot be merged until the lock is removed. Open it with its password and use “Print → Save as PDF”, then add the new copy here.
Frequently asked questions
How do I merge PDF files into one?
Choose your PDF files with the Choose PDF files button or drag them onto the box, put them in the order you want and press Merge PDF. The combined PDF downloads straight away.
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. The files are read and merged entirely inside your browser and never leave your device. Only your settings, such as page size, are remembered on your own computer or phone.
Can I merge only some pages of a PDF?
Yes. Type the pages you want in the file’s Pages box, for example 1-3, 5, or switch to Pages view and remove the pages you do not need. You can also drag single pages into a new order.
Will the quality or file size change?
The quality does not change, because pages are copied without being compressed again. Text stays searchable and links keep working. The merged file is about the size of the original files added together, often slightly smaller.
Is there a limit on the number or size of files?
There is no fixed limit. You can merge dozens of files and hundreds of pages; the only limit is your device’s memory. On older phones very large files of several hundred megabytes may be slow.
